Video Description: Sail the "River of Time" through the Mexico yesterday and today. The pyramid, which is the focal point of the Mexico showcase, also houses an extensive collection of artifacts from Mexico's Pre-Columbian era. The gallery is designed to represent a Mayan Ceremonial Hall complete with Temple Columns. The artifacts on display are on loan from various museums and rotated to ensure their preservation GALLERY, MEXICO - Mexico Showcase Description: "Reign of Glory - A Celebration of Mexico's Pre- Columbian Arts" features artifacts from Mexico's Pre-Columbian era. The gallery is designed to represent a Mayan Ceremonial Hall complete with Temple Columns. This will be a permanent display although the actual artifacts will be rotated to ensure their preservation. A rock map of Mexico is located in the gallery to show where the arti- facts on display were discovered. 2nd January 2007: Closed for refurbishment El Rio Del Tiempo is now closed for a 4 month refurbishment. This rehab is just a clean and repair, no conversion to Donald Duck. Reopens September 26 1999. 8 April 1999:
This ride is going down over the
summer for a 3 month rehab prior to the Millennium at Epcot.
Rumours are that it may be replaced with a Donald Duck based attraction. |
